Electricity is a strategic energy resource and very important for the livelihood of many people. The government has tried to free Indonesia from electricity crisis trying find alternative uses new renewable (EBT). committed that NRE will continue be developed ensure security in meet growing demand electricity. set target 23% share clean national mix 2025 31% 2030 through National Energy Policy (KEN) General Plan (RUEN). To succeed program take advantage potential sources exist around people's residences. However, one obstacles remote location so access difficult. In addition, village community lacks knowledge about microhydro technology. Therefore it necessary design turbine not complicated manufacture. complexity manufacture blades which must aerodynamic affect performance. Therefore, do research on are how they perform. This was conducted experimentally using propeller tested 3 different types blades, namely, this study three were created designed. cross-section blade square with thickness mm without curvature, rectangular cross-sectionsquare 2 curvature (camber). made steel plate by welding. diameter used 150 total 4 blades.
